November passed with a total of 352 Bibles being placed into the hands of correctional officers in twelve different states! March 2016 Newsletter

March 5, 2016

Dear Supporting Friends,

Would it thrill you to know you had a part in getting a copy of God’s Word in the hands of 724 Correctional Officers during the month of February? Thank you for your faithful support! This could not happen without you. The new shipment of 2,000 Bibles arrived last week. They are beautiful! We are pleased with the lamination of the covers. This is sure to solve some issues we have had in the past. It only adds 0.20 to the cost of each Bible—an investment well worth it! None of the boxes were damaged during shipping. Thank you for praying for this matter. We are already on the list for the next scheduled printing of whole Bibles. Read More »

Dry Bones

Recently my daily Bible study was in Ezekiel 37:1-10, “The hand of  the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, and caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry.  And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?  And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these drybones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.  Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:  and I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD…So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” Read More »

God Hears Intelligently

Psalm 6:8 “Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.”

Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary Definitions:

  • Heard:  Comes from a word that means “ To hear intelligently”.
  • Intelligently:  Endowed with the faculty of understanding or reason.
  • Voice:  To call aloud; voice aloud; sound aloud; bleating.
  • Bleating: Crying as a sheep.
  • Weeping: Dripping; overflowing; continual weeping.

About everybody that gets caught cries. Tears can be used to deceive and control a situation.   As we manage master manipulators and habitual liars, the importance of hearing the voice of weeping intelligently remains obvious.  If we do not, we could be moved to make all sorts of poor decisions with dire ramifications. Internal Stillness

I believe Psalm 46 is key Scripture for us in corrections. Verse 10 reminds us to “Be still, and know that I am God…” The three key words in this verse are, “still”, “know”, and “exalted”. Still has the thought of “let alone” or “leave it alone”. Know has the thought of “I’ve seen what He can do, will do, has done” I’ve experienced what He can do, will do, has done in me and others.” Exalted is “raised up”. Read More »
