Salvation

We never know when the end of our final watch will come. Anyone can take the simple steps needed in order to know 100% for sure that they would go to heaven when they die.

Please read on.

1. You must accept that you are a sinner.

  • Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
  • Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”
  • No one has lived up to God’s standard of perfection. Our sins separate us from God.

2. You must accept that as a sinner there is a penalty that you owe.

  • Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”
  • Ezekiel 18:4b “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
  • Revelation 20:14 “And Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
  • If we pay what we owe as sinners, we must spend eternity in the lake of fire (Hell).

3. You must accept that Jesus Christ has paid your sin debt.

  • Romans 5:6-8 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
  • Hebrews 2:9b “…that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”
  • John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
  • II Corinthians 5:21 “He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
  • Jesus Christ was not a sinner. The Bible makes it plain that God took all of our sin and placed it on Christ. While Jesus was bearing all of our sins in His own body, God punished Him in our place to pay the sin debt we owe.

4. You must accept by faith what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross.

  • Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
  • John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
  • I John 5:11-13 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
  • John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
  • Romans 10:9-10, 13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
  • There are two groups of people in the world: those who have eternal life and those who do not; those who have their sins forgiven and those whose sins are still separating them from God; those who have received the free gift of eternal life through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and those who have not; those who are going to heaven when they die and those who are not; those who have called on Jesus Christ for salvation and those who have not.

If you will make the choice to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour, pray this simple prayer:

Dear God,

I know I’m a sinner. I’m sorry for my sins. I know I deserve to pay my own penalty for sin. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again to pay the debt that I owe. Right now I’m asking you to save me, to forgive me of my sin and take me to heaven when I die. I put my trust in Jesus Christ and accept Him as my personal Saviour. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Amen.
