Civilian Testimonials

Dear Corrections Officers…

I know that I don’t really know the events that take place behind the door of your workplace. Even if you explained it to me, I know I couldn’t even comprehend the depth of what you encounter on a daily basis. Thank you for spending your days sacrificing on my behalf. I can go to Wal-Mart or spend time with my family without fear that someone who might want to harm me will escape. Knowing there are many people serving as you do gives me great peace.

Thank you!

First, I would like to say thank you for the tremendous job you do for our communities. I know that you may think your job is a thankless task, but you are appreciated. Secondly, since it has been my privilege to speak in a county jail and prisons many times, I wanted to personally thank you for your professional and courteous treatment that I have experienced.

Thank you for your services and sacrifices. As I look back, I see that every officer I have encountered over the years has always responded with care and compassion regarding my needs. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks you and to your families also for their sacrifices. May God bless and protect you and your families always!

-Pam Miller

Thank you for working to provide safety and order to our communities. I cannot imagine what a different place this would be without the restraint you provide. I am thankful for your willingness to serve our communities this way. I am sure it is a difficult task to restrain individuals who have not obeyed the laws or cooperated with instruction. Thanks for being faithful to this ministry. I can rest at night knowing you are faithfully securing our jails and prisons. God bless you all.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for all those in the field of law enforcement. Due to the fact that much of what you do is unseen, your service goes unnoticed. Over the course of the past few months, I have been made aware of just a small part of the sacrifice, challenges and difficulties you face on a regular basis. Many of us do not realize the physical, emotional and spiritual strain you undergo so that the rest of us can live in safety and peace.

Please accept my sincere gratitude to each of you and the job you do.

-Denise L. Sisco

Thank you for giving the most precious things you have for the safety and security of our society. I recognize that you have chosen to give your very life as you walk America’s most dangerous beat in the city of corrections. I recognize that you have chosen to give your time as you do time among society’s most dangerous citizens. I recognize that your family is also involved in the sacrifice you make in protecting me. Thank you.

As a former school teacher, I owe you an apology. I know that there are men and women in your custody that I could have reached out to and did not. Now you must manage those I failed to try to help. I am sorry.
