Dear Supporting Friends,

609 Bibles went out over the last month, with the call from Maine coming in loud and clear! 577 Bibles, tracts, and Scripture cards have been sent to be distributed to officers in 5different facilities in Maine by the hands of some faithful servants of the Lord. We are thrilled by how the Lord clearly guides and provides with His

Wondrous Hand! Some in authority in those institutions have been markedly touched by this matter, and we pray that it will be used to draw them closer to the Lord.

Over the last month, individual officers have continued to search for Scriptural support and encouragement. We are thankful for the ministry website, where they find a beginning of these things that can ultimately point them to Christ and the local church. We were blessed and reminded of this as we read the testimonial of this officer, “Today I received my free Bible and I was so excited when it arrived. I am a corrections officer and although I love what I do, it brings comfort to know that there are people who pray for us and appreciate what we do 24/7.

Every day I enter the compound I say a prayer for fellow brothers, my sisters, and myself and for the inmates as well. God has answered my prayers. I came upon HEIRS of RESTRAINT by searching Bibles for corrections officers in hopes that I would get lucky and find something on the internet. I feel more than blessed to have a Bible that points out certain Scriptures relevant to a correction officer’s day to day struggles. I pray that these Bibles and this ministry can touch the hearts of those officers in need before they reach their breaking point.” May we thank you for your faithful support and encourage you that it makes a difference, with these quotations from other officers?

A man from Florida says, “Being a corrections officer is a tough job that no one but your family understands. I was searching the internet for Bibles that are specific to corrections officers in hopes of finding one. At last I have.” And all the way from Washington State and officer writes, “Someone posted information in our staff dining about “Heirs of Restraint”. I am very happy to find someone who ministers to C/O’s.”

As you pray for corrections officers, would you pray for a young lady who contacted us with this plea, “I am a corrections officer of 4 years. I am also a single mom of a 6 year old. I am struggling with having the strength to do my job and be a good mother to my daughter. I feel like I’ve lost my way. I didn’t know if you could give me some words of encouragement and prayers. Thank you so much for your time and all you do for us as correctional officers.” Also pray for the one who says, “Thank you, I have been looking for something like this for a very long time to help strengthen my faith, with the clientele that we have, sometimes it’s hard. God bless you for providing this.”

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for your support for this ministry. What God can do with 5 loaves and 2 fish!

Sincerely for Corrections Officers,

Marvin and Jacqueline Jackson
