• Heard:  Comes from a word that means “ To hear intelligently”.
• Intelligently:  Endowed with the faculty of understanding or reason.
• Voice:  To call aloud; voice aloud; sound aloud; bleating.
• Bleating: Crying as a sheep.
• Weeping: Dripping; overflowing; continual weeping.

About everybody that gets caught cries. I believe Psalm 46 is key Scripture for us in corrections. Verse 10 reminds us to “Be still, and know that I am God…” The three key words in this verse are, “still”, “know”, and “exalted”. Still has the thought of “let alone” or “leave it alone”. As we read of Joseph beginning in Genesis 37, it is revealed that he was God’s chosen man. God had a powerful ministry for him, yet he experienced the arrows of the archers. It’s a troublesome thing to not be briefed on the day. To come in and find the day starting with the night having been full of activity and to have to assume a position in haste, not being fully briefed, is dangerous and disheartening.
